My family has been recently obsessed with this video of a parrot singing Radiohead's "Creep" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW_O5VWIOZE. Anytime someone uses the word "special" someone in the house will croak out SPECIAL in a loud parrot voice.

This was followed by my son (and hence all of us) getting earwormed by Wham's "Last Christmas."

In particular those repeated lines "I'll give it to someone special." You can see where this is headed.
